   Marriage Notes:

In the 1860 Elk Township Vinton County Ohio census, it shows Lewis with a daughter Harriett, about 10 years old. Also had two other people living with them, a Harriett Barker, age 21 as a servant, and a Eliza Malory age 2, both from Ohio. Census was taken 6Jun1860, the month before Elizabeth was born. Elizabeth Jane was born to Harriet Barker (daughter of Joseph Barker and Harriet Blackman), the story was that Harriet Barker was not yet married to Richard Isaac and she had Elizabeth Jane out of wedloct, a big sin back then. Richard Isaac had gone to California and when he returned he said he would marry Harriet Barker if she would give up Elizabeth Jane and let Lewis and Deborah raise her. After Deborah died, Lewis married Elizabeth Wicker, widow of Homer Gibbs, and they both raised Elizabeth Jane, Elizabeth Wickers' 5 children, and also had 3 of their own. Elizabeth Jane married George Gibbs, son of Elizabeth Wicker and her first husband.
