Daniel and Mary Cram reared a large family, now all deceased. Their son James M. served in the Civil war with an Iowa regiment. Their youngest son, Stephen, remained on the farm with his father who lived to an advanced age. Stephen's only son, Charles, now owns and operates the farm. He gives considerable attention to dairy cows. He and his son Ted, recently graduated from McArthur high school, are the only descendants of the pioneers still living on the ridge.
